Ruvimbo Kamba

A qualified geologist and holder of a BSc Geology and Biology degree from the University of Zimbabwe currently employed as a Programme Officer with Pact Zimbabwe. In this role, she supports the program team in implementing the primarily DFID funded "Formalisation of Artisanal and Small Scale Gold Mining and Trading" and UNDP funded "Preparatory support to the Sustainability of the Extractives sector in Zimbabwe" projects in Zimbabwe using her invaluable technical skills and knowledge. Ruvimbo is no stranger to the mining field, having spent five years as a geologist at a local large scale mine providing services around mineral resource generation and management to small scale mines registered with the mine before taking up her current role within Pact in which she is assisting in rolling out a livelihoods uplifting programmes targeting artisanal and small scale gold miners in Zimbabwe. Ruvimbo's varied background in the mining and N.G.O sectors provides her with the ability to offer a wide range of services from geotechnical assessments to research, project planning and communication management.
