Summary

I am a development professional over 6 years of experience. Currently, I am engaged as a ‘’Technical Advisor’’ to GFA ENTEC AG, a company based in Switzerland; implementing a project in Pakistan with a name ‘’Micro Hydro Resource & Services Centre’’. This particular project is Co-funded by REPIC and WISION with the objective to launch a service network in Chitral that will provide repairs and maintenance services to more than 200 Mini/Micro Hydro Power Projects incepted by AKRSP, SRSP, GIZ, PPAF, PEDO and other donor agencies. For this purpose, at the start I designed and conducted a technical study of 50 Mini/Micro Hydro Projects with Dr. Thomas Meier, Senior Consultant of GFA ENTEC AG. Based on the findings of the study, a business plan was developed which later on partly supported by REPIC & WISSION. Moreover, I am also working as a ‘’Consultant / Third Party Monitor’’ of UK-DFID Funded projects implementing by Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) and ACTED Pakistan in district Chitral KPK, Pakistan. As a Consultant/Third Party Monitor, my responsibility is to design research tools and instruments at activity, output, outcome and impact level, collect data (both quantitative & qualitative) and monitor all the activities of the above mentioned organizations. During these 6 years of Job experience, I have worked with some of the top and well known organizations including the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP), Hydrolink Engineering Equipment Company, ACTED Pakistan, GFA ENTEC AG, VTT Global etc. In Hydrolink Engineering Equipment Company, I closely worked with Pukhtoon Kha Energy Development Organization (PEDO) and assisted the company by developing technical proposals and preparing BID Documents. After submission of the technical Proposals and bid documents, the company became able to get a contract worth of PKR 1.8 Billion and thud initiated 99 Mini/Micro Hydro Power Projects in districts Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram, Charsadda and Mardan.
