Samuel Jinich

I'm Sami Jinich, a student at Duke University majoring in Political Science with a concentration in Decision Theory and Data Science. I have a passion for learning about different cultures, religions, and perspectives, and I love exploring the intersections between innovation and ethics. Having completed a gap year with the Shalom Hartman Institute, I went on to work as a group and learning facilitator for the Hartman Teen Fellowship, where I led a group of teens as they engaged with critical questions facing the Jewish diaspora. I have volunteered at two psychology labs at Duke where I gained valuable research skills and assisted with research on the psychological and social aspects of religion and spirituality. Through my summer work at Culmen International and JStreet, I have developed skills in proposal writing, market analysis, contract negotiation, and fundraising. In addition to political science, I have taken various math, philosophy, and psychology courses at Duke. I am eager to apply my varied skills and interests to new challenges and opportunities.
