Experienced international development professional who has worked on school and community-based health and hygiene programs for key international development organizations such as USAID, U.S. Peace Corps and CARE, with expertise in rural and urban slum settings. Current area of focus is on education and hygiene needs, and reproductive health and rights of adolescent girls. Recently led menstrual hygiene management in schools initiative for the USAID WASHplus Project through advocacy, program management and publications. Specialization in utilizing proven program planning, management, training/facilitation, and communication skills to achieve integrated development outcomes. Work experience has covered sub-Saharan Africa, Madagascar, Haiti, Egypt and India. BA from Vassar College and an MPH from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
