Summary

Corporate Social Responsibility participation or rather I believe that Corporate Social Value creation and contribution is becoming increasingly important for business, political and civil society leaders. Different perspectives bring outside-the-box thinking–but sometimes; a group that’s all on the same page is what you really need to achieve community impact investment – through the deployment of financial and human resources to co-create business & social value. Public, Private and Societal partnerships, despite having points of intersection, are looking for building of common platforms which integrate society into strategy by incorporating a social dimension to organizational value proposition and hence maximizing synergy between economic & social objectives. In my earnest capacity and capability, I have been engaging to build unified technology and partnership platforms for social imperatives of Healthcare and Livelihoods since the last decade. Through my most recent engagements have provided me an opportunity to get associated with thought leaders, research professors, data scientists of reputed universities like Stanford Medicine, Center for Population Health Science (India – Health, Development and Data Initiative) wherein we enabled a leverage of advanced diagnostic technologies for Covid-19 by using AI algorithms for chest X-Rays and more interestingly program designing an initiative in collaboration with the non-profit Echo India, that will advance the upskilling of the healthcare worker of the future in India. This is relevant both in the immediate terms as it helps address COVID 19 infection protection skill gaps, as well as post pandemic phase. The objective is to build the nursing skill set up to the highest global standards leveraging technology to provide access to international grade curriculum from the best doctors and institutes like University of New Mexico. This helps advance access, quality care and population health, as on an average a single frontline nurse treats more than 500+ patients every year. It also empowers nurses to be of a higher value add within the healthcare system and as such, increase their future earning potential and livelihoods. This puts them on a clear pathway to progress within their careers uplifting themselves as well as their respective families and communities. Furthermore, the exposure has helped me explore advance Healthcare technology suites like SNOMED CT and solution design an integrated program with the incorporation of AI, ML and to drive forward the next generation of healthcare diagnostic device platforms like wearables, IoT sensors for containment zone tracking through sewage systems etc. My interface with the Indian Army Special Forces has been a constant motivator and a reminder of selfless dedication without any malice towards nation building. Am still at times unable to comprehend how a soldier is motivated to jump on a grenade to save the life of a fellow soldier without any incentive of promotions, increments, bonuses, ESOPs etc. But what was said to me by a Special Forces officer, still resonates with me – “One crowded hour of glorious life is worth a age without a name”. In view of the recent pandemic strike, we are designing a Mental Resilience platform for our Indian corporate youth with the expert network of Armed forces and Academicians from Germany who specialize in Organizational Resilience and Design Thinking. I have recently filed for a patent for a method and a system on a secure impact-chain platform (built on Blockchain and enabled by IoT) for socio-economic impact measurement for Agriculture, Healthcare and Education sector value chains, which has been endorsed by the Tata Trusts and was a nominee of Top 200 innovations in India, by the Atal Innovation Mission of the NITI Aayog. My aspiration is to develop a shared service offering for the evolving social sector that incorporates the emerging demands of multiple stakeholders, enhance the ability to respond to changes in the ecosystem, builds coalitions and networks, and to puts India as a lead actor within the movement.
