Selom Apanya

Selom Apanya is an Economist, Researcher and a Development Consultant with almost a decade experience in providing professional consultancy services to both public and private sector agencies in Ghana. Between 2014 to 2019, Selom held the position of Senior Assistant Consultant/Supervisor within the Firm of Shawbell Consulting Limited. His time with the Firm saw him work on numerous consultancy assignments in thematic areas ranging from Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), Policy Development, Political Economy Analysis, Organisational Reform and Strengthening, Strategic Planning, Impact Assessments, Baseline Surveys, Data Collection and Analysis, Training and Capacity Building, etc. Selom is also a seasoned Researcher, and has worked on several high-profile survey for organisations such as the World Bank, GIZ, UNDP, SECO, WHO, UNICEF, AfDB, the MasterCard Foundation, DFID, Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherland, Cambridge Resource International Inc, Levy Economics Institute of Bard College, the Rockefeller Foundation, the African Health Economics and Policy Association (AfHEA), etc. He has specialities in data collection and analysis, methodology development, sampling procedures and sample size determination, digital data collection tools, enumerator training and management, SPSS, STATA, etc. Selom holds an MPhil and BA in Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
