Shafiq Solangi

A graduate in International Relations from Quaid-e Azam University, Islamabad, Shafiq is an energetic media and communication's professional. He has seven years of working experiencing with Government of Pakistan, International Non-governmental Organizations (INGOs), leading members of the parliament, and Pakistani media organizations. Currently, he is working as Communications and Media consultant with Jinnah Institute (JI), a think tank based in Islamabad. Previously, he worked as Manager Communications and Media Relations with PINFO Communications and Research, Islamabad. He served as Research Analyst - Media and Politics with Ministry of Information and Broadcasting where he conceptualized, development and executed the media-wide research initiatives and communications strategies. He contributed in Reconciliation, Reforms and Revival Four Years of Democratic Government (2008-12), a book which was launched by then Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in December 2012. He worked as Communications Consultant for Search for Common Ground Pakistan and where he created and executed the overall programs' outreach, communication strategies, and campaigning. He also writes as freelance columnist in mainstream English newspapers of Pakistan.
