Shahid Fiaz

Shahid Fiaz is a seasoned development professional with over 25 years of experience and 15 years in senior leadership roles. He pioneered locally-led programming by building consortiums with local organisations to lead, won over USD 85 million in USAID projects, striving to transform the programming and working relations between international and local organisations. He has deployed political economy analysis tools to design and deliver high-quality development programs involving bilateral and multilateral institutions across regions. He has also helped promote citizen action and build social movements that resulted in changes in several countries' constitutional and legal frameworks, as well as empowered communities. His ability to navigate challenging circumstances is evident in his extensive work with diverse Asian communities. He has built local CSOs' capacity to lead in programming, influencing public policy, and advocating at various levels. He has also designed and implemented rights-based programs at scale, empowering communities and strengthening inclusive institutions, and managed donor relations in complex environments.
