Summary

I am a development professional from Bangladesh, have 27 years experience in the areas of development-oriented education, strategic planning, project management, capacity building, fund raising, women development, entrepreneurship development, human rights, cultural heritage, community development, advocacy and awareness building on various social issues

I have worked with the government and the NGOs in different areas of educational administration, project management, monitoring & evaluation, human resource development & logistics, training & capacity building, financial management & fundraising, and my role was a strategic leadership and mentoring. My present role in Children & Earth Welfare Society is of strategic leadership, capacity building, fundraising and overall management. My achievement was to raise fund and bring the organization into a good shape, set up infra-structure for ECD, pre-primary and basic education, initiate skill development training for creating employment opportunities for poor women.

As a UN Volunteer specialist, I did work with UN Peacekeeping Mission in Cambodia (United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia), when the country was in crisis and conflict. Settlement of huge number of refugees was another big issue. I have gained experience to work in a multi-cultural environment, with a starting up programs & operations, settling refugee problems, interact with various UN components and international organizations.

My expertise also includes community development with special emphasis on children and women, advocacy, campaign, presentation, media campaign and public speaking. As a part of advocacy & awareness building, I make documentary films focusing on social and humanitarian issues to make a difference. In 2015, I received two awards – for my social work and film making on violence against women.

For playing a significant role in the social service, I was honored with Freedom Inspiring Future Leader Award on 8 March 2015. I received Filmmaker Award in March 2015 for my documentary film Fight Acid Violence. I also received a National Award in 1997 for my contribution to Non-formal Education. In 2016, I was honoured in Jakarta, Indonesia on the occasion of International Women’s Day and Zero Discrimination Day 2016. I received Filmmaker of Inspiration - Platinum Award for my documentary film at the International Film Festival on Women, Social Issues-Zero Discrimination 2016, held in Jakarta in March 2016.

As an author and publisher, I wrote and published a number of books and articles, and a series of educational materials for the underprivileged group and mass people to make them aware on various social issues, such as: education, health, environment, social justice, poverty alleviation and human rights etc.

I am sincere, organized, innovative, dynamic, hardworking and challenging with good interpersonal, communication, networking & leadership skills. I do believe that my vast experience in multi-dimensional areas would be an asset to work for an international development project.
