I am a development professional and a strong advocate of the UN 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development and SDGs, with expertise in public policy and sustainable development programming. Over the years, I supported multiple public- and development-sector organizations in adopting frameworks, tools, and methods to mainstream social, economic, and environmental dimensions of sustainable development in their organizational development strategies, planning & budgetary processes. I worked with UNDP (Pakistan) as an M&E Specialist and then Project Manager Mainstreaming, Acceleration, and Policy Support (MAPS) for SDGs, where I led the process of SDGs integration at the sub-national level (Punjab). It was a high-impact initiative, as through our continued technical and advisory support, we equipped the subnational government with frameworks, tools, and processes to mainstream the Global SDGs Agenda into its policy, planning, and budgeting processes. Before that, I worked as a planning, monitoring, evaluation, and research professional with various national and international organizations, such as the World Bank, RSPN/RSPs, PPAF, and Save the Children (Australia). Among other areas, I have built strong skills in facilitating multistakeholder engagements with senior government officials around critical policy issues, such as the SDGs integration into key policy instruments, financing for SDGs and strengthening statistical capacities, etc.
