I am a physician specializing in Infectious Diseases for the past 20+ years. My central area of focus is working on improving capacity for diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases in LMICs, having worked on projects in Haiti, Venezuela, Colombia, Mozambique, Liberia, Micronesia, Cambodia, and Vietnam (where I currently live and work as the HIV Project Director for a US-funded NGO). In addition, I have strong interests in medical education, especially GME and clinical UME, as well as writing for popular and technical audiences on the practice of medicine, having written three books for popular audiences.
