Tanya Barron is chief executive of Plan UK in January 2013. She was previously international director at Leonard Cheshire Disability in 2004, co-authoring various papers and editing two LCD books, "Disability and Inclusive Development" and "Poverty and Disability." Barron holds various trusteeships and is currently a board member of the World Bank's Global Partnership on Disability and Development. In 2003, she was given the European Woman of Achievement (Humanitarian) award.
