Summary

To enjoy what I do and to do it well. Terence has a long established career path which has taken him through major disciplines. Originally trained as a Horticulturist he spent time working in the UK and overseas, providing technical and managerial inputs into many diverse projects. Terence’s experiences in Africa and India encouraged him to focus on working within the development sector, and returning to education as a mature student he read Business Studies and Accountancy at Bournemouth University. Completing his studies, Terence volunteered through UK NGO Skillshare Africa to provided technical expertise in developing the local capacity of national employees at Institute For The Development of Small Scale Fisheries, IDPPE, in Mozambique. After an extended contract in Mozambique, Terence returned to the UK, reading his IMBA at Bournemouth Business School. Returning to Mozambique Fisheries as an Information Systems Specialist (ISS) on an EU – SADC - MCS Program. Terence's involvement was once again focused on the capacity building of local employees in MCS, ICT, Systems and Systems management. As part of the overall MCS program.Terence initiated a wider stakeholder program “Eyes on the Horizon” integrating private and public sector partnerships for the marine stewardship of the EEZ. Terence maintained a high profile with EOTH's up until 2015 as the VP "www.eoth.org"​. Terence also replicated the work of the EU program in Angola under the guidance of the OS there. On the completion of the EU Funding cycle of the MCS project, Terence returned to study at Portsmouth University UK, attaining an MSc with distinction in Geographical Information Systems. Terence has since returned to Mozambique and is combining his experiences and interests through his own company, TSIG. TSIG is aimed at developing broader contexts of good governance and management through an understanding of environment, and in mapping the things we can and cannot change.
