Thabang has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Rhodes University and an MBA from Nelson Mandela University Business School. He is currently completing his Phd at Rhodes University. He is a lecturer at Rhodes Business School. Before joining Rhodes University, Thabang started his career at PwC as a Management Consultant before moving to the Department of Public Works, where he held the roles of Property Portfolio Manager and Regional Property Manager. Thabang was selected as a Mandela Washington Fellow to train in Public Management at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland and to work as an Economist at the African Development Bank in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Thabang was also in corporate finance, dealing with investment and finance for commercial property transactions for TUHF.
