Summary

I am a development professional with a Doctorate in Development Science. I have more than twenty six years of experience in programme operation & implementation, conceptualizing, planning, consulting, monitoring, evaluation and development research. My strength lies with leading and implementation of multi-state research, multi-country programme implementation, strategy development, program evaluation and am thorough with different policies, programmatic interventions and procedures. My past and present association with INGOs, research organizations, corporates, and implementing partners has given me the opportunity of taking initiatives in the program conceptualization, planning and implementation of social development programmes with special focus to issues pertaining to gender issues, health, education, social protection, livelihood, rural development, urban health, adolescent & sexual health and programme management. My experience and expertise with project design and Theory of Change is being integrated into the Result Framework for effective implementation into the lifecycle of the various projects. I possess inspiring leadership qualities, networking and communication skills, to lead a team of professionals from different disciplines. I have been managing, organizing and implementing varied projects with multiple partners across the various states of the country. In course of my long years into leadership position my aptitude and skills in terms of facilitation, social and leadership competencies, management and strategic competencies , negotiation, decision making and mentoring is highly being appreciated and acknowledged by my employers. Working harmoniously with multifaceted teams, under strict deadlines is one of my other strength areas. In lieu of my long years of association with different organisations and being heading the team have been into managing people, planning projects, communicating and influencing various stakeholders as well as team members, organising the program and activities as per the work plan, collating and analysing data with allocated finance & resources using technology to mitigate the risk and plan corrective actions. As part of my job I’ve been developing policies, managing projects & programs, accounts and partnerships with different stakeholders and clients across the Asia region. While pursuing my activities, I am in close contacts with local partners, NGOs, Civil societies, local Government, legal system, civil society organizations, corporate sectors and varied donors and Govt agencies. I have worked in partnership with various stakeholders and can provide the technical support at all stages of the projects and programmes from project proposal, program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. I have been heading various Project Management Unit (PMU) with different team members and had to work closely with Government and other important stakeholders. I possess the inspiring leadership qualities, networking and communication skills, to lead a team of professionals from different disciplines. I have been managing, organizing and implementing varied projects with multiple partners across the various states of the country. I have been working closely with varied stakeholders including Govt officials and donors. I am into recruiting, co-ordination, strong organizational skills, advocacy, with good understanding among other sectors, partners and communities as part of project management skills and aptitudes which have been doing over the years. I have the past experiences to work in a multicultural and international environment and very open to challenges and flexible in my approach. I possess the ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, energetic and entrepreneurial environment. Currently, I am based in Kolkata and associated with Ipsos Research and looking after the social research operations across eastern India, North-east and South Asia. Previously, I was the Gender Specialist for ILRG-USAID project. I acted as the Director Programs for the Trickle Up Asia office which specializes on livelihood sector focusing on ultrapoor rural women. I am open to frequent travel to any part of the country. I have travelled and worked in Nepal, Bangladesh, Phillipines, USA, UK and West Africa. I have excellent knowledge of Bengali, English, Hindi and Oriya languages. I feel myself capable, skilled, qualified , experienced and confident to take-up the challenges. I’m a self-motivated individual with a keen desire to learn new things. I possess the basic required skill as well as aptitude and above all with a strong aptitude to be part of the team as well as leading the professionals.
