Mr Babigumira’s professional experience spans the Public and Private sector (total of eighteen years) with extensive managerial and consulting experience in international business strategy, entrepreneurship, e-commerce, project management and enterprise development. Mr Babigumira left a short stint in the private sector in Uganda and joined the Uganda Export Promotion Board in 2004 as senior trade promotion officer, working his way up the ranks to Division Director – Management Market Information Systems, and after that Deputy Executive Director (DED) of the Institution from 2011 until April 2013. Mr Babigumira also served as Acting Executive Director (ED) of UEPB for six months before leaving for the private sector in December 2013. Since 2014, he has provided expert advice to the public, private sector and development partner institutions in the East African Community on private sector development, trade and export policy.
