Wim Van Breusegem is an environmental management expert, based in Brussels, with 29 years of experience in advising public (UNEP, World Bank, European Commission, EBRD, EIB, KfW) and private sector clients throughout Europe, the former Soviet Union, Asia and Africa. He helps decision makers in moving towards a circular economy and in building sustainable waste management systems by providing the following services: a) Project Management b) Policy and strategy development, implementation and evaluation c) Strenghtening of legislation d) Institutional strengthening and capacity building e) Organisational assessment f) Training and workshop delivery g) Managing effective stakeholder involvement h) Programme/Project identification, formulation and evaluation. He gained hands-on experience in managing a wide range of waste streams, often based on the Extended Producer Responsibility principle (batteries, tyres, waste oils, end-of-life vehicles, E-waste, packaging, plastic and marine litter)
