Željka Knežević has 23 years of experience in management and implementation of various development programs with concentration on regulatory reforms, public sector reforms, finance reforms, private sector development, capacity building of both public and private institutions/organizations, including facilitation and management of diverse policy working groups in the process of various strategies and policy papers development. As a development program specialist provided expert technical assistance to IFC/World Bank Group, USIAD, Sida, GIZ, and DFID in the field of governance, economics, private sector-led growth, the financial sector, the business enabling environment, enterprise restructuring, facilitated numerous strategy and policy paper development, and designed and managed various support programs for private sector. As a project manager held broad policy, programming, and management responsibilities for a range of development programs, responsible for program components design, budget planning and results monitoring and reporting, donor coordination and leveraging other donor and domestic sources contributions. She has an accomplished career leading and consulting for IFC/World Bank, USAID, DFID, and GIZ projects,primarily in BiH, where she is a resident and has worked since 1996.
