    The U.S. government suspended its aid to Guinea after the new military junta announced that it arrested 22 military leaders who were forced to retire following a coup last month, according to

    . "The United States is suspending assistance (USD 15 million) to Guinea, with the exception of humanitarian aid and programs supporting the democratic process," U.S. State Department spokesman, Sean McCormack, said.
