The U.S. State Department’s Quadrennial Diplomacy and Development Review will likely push similar reform ideas than those pushed by key Senate lawmakers, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told the Foreign Relations Committee Feb. 23, providing a first glimpse on the report that is expected to kickstart congressional efforts to reform U.S. foreign assistance.
The QDDR will be completed this summer, Clinton said at the hearing. Earlier statements had suggested that the report may not be released until late this year, potentially delaying long-awaited aid reform efforts.
