Four Caribbean nations have pledged support for the re-election bid of Inter-American Development Bank President Luis Alberto Moreno, Caribbean Daily News reports.

Guyana President Bharrat Jagdeo endorsed Moreno’s run for a second term citing his “strong vision” and impressive performance as chief of IDB, which has been instrumental in helping buffer member nations from the effects of regional and global economic shake-ups.

Jagdeo said prime ministers of neighboring Barbados, Jamaica and Bahamas were as approving of the IDB president.
