It has been a busy year for development finance — marked in large part by a push to expand multilateral banks and increase their focus on climate.
We’ve also seen turbulence within some DFIs, and growth and change at others. There have been some new corporate-led initiatives, shifts in the impact investing landscape, and progress around metrics for mainstream finance. But there are also questions about accountability and strategy — and whether promises will amount to different outcomes.
