BOOZ ALLEN HAMILTON is seeking an experienced, dynamic and innovative Chief of Party for a USAID-funded project to facilitate implementation of CAFTA: the Central America-Dominican Republic Free Trade Agreement. The project will help the Government of the Dominican Republic, specifically the Directorate of Foreign Commerce, administer and implement CAFTA. The chief of party will work full-time in the Dominican Republic for the duration of the project. Responsibilities include: provide technical leadership and management oversight for all project activities and liaise with high-level officials of USAID and the Government of the Dominican Republic.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in economics, business management, law, or other relevant field; doctoral degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience working in economic development, trade, and free trade agreements, knowledge/work with CAFTA is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of direct technical experience and strong technical knowledge of commercial and trade law in the context of the overall Dominican legal system required.
- At least 5 years experience as Chief of Party of USAID-funded projects preferred.
- Strong English and Spanish oral and written communication skills.
- Experience working with industry and services preferred.
- Solid technical knowledge in the legal drafting process highly preferred.
- Experience working with a government ministry desirable.
