EuropeAid plans project approach overhaul

Increased public scrutiny of aid spending has prompted donor governments and aid implementers to demonstrate value for money. What is EuropeAid, one of the world’s largest donors, doing in this area?

EuropeAid is moving toward a more results-oriented approach to foreign aid, said Klaus Rudischhauser. In a conversation with Devex Editor Rolf Rosenkranz, the deputy director-general of EuropeAid discussed the next steps, including a paper the European Commission plans to release later this year, and explains how the new approach will change the agency’s bidding process.
