ABA CGP Asia-Translator

Job Description

ABA CGP is seeking a Translator to translate text and video material from English to Cantonese. In addition to translating text and video material, 11 videos will require subtitling in their native language. Text and videos in Cantonese will be uploaded on Moodle, a learning platform, where ABA CGP will be hosting digital privacy training courses. The upload of translated and subtitled material to Moodle will be facilitated by the Translation Company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Translation and Subtitling:

· Translate an estimated 94,000 words from English text into Cantonese.

· Translate up to eleven videos (approximately 90-120 mins) from English into Cantonese.

· Add subtitles to videos in Cantonese.

· Video translations and subtitling will be provided to ABA ROLI within three weeks of the Translator receiving the original video.

· Fix any errors found within the translated and subtitled content as indicated by ABA ROLI and its partners.

Moodle:

· Facilitate the upload of translated and subtitled material to Moodle.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:   

· Ability to translate and subtitle English into Cantonese.

· Ability to translate both text and video material.

· Experience adding subtitles to videos.

· Experience with uploading translated and subtitled content to the Moodle platform.

The contract will last from signing– June 30, 2025
