Abt Global is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the role of Facilities and Logistics Officer on the Australia PNG Economic Partnership (APEP) Program. his role is based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea and open to PNG citizens only.

About the Program

Abt PNG Management Services is a shared services platform supporting five programs based in PNG.

The five programs include:

  • Australia PNG Economic Partnership (APEP)
  • Australia PNG Subnational Program (APSP)
  • PNG-Australia Transition to Health (PATH)
  • PNG Partnerships for Improving Education (PIE)
  • PNG Women’s Lead (PNGWL)

The Abt PNG Management Services departments support the delivery of the above mentioned Abt Programs through corporate services functions across seven teams including Finance and Travel, People and Culture, Procurement, Grants Management, Legal and Contracts, ICT, Facilities and Logistics and Safety and Security.  

About the Opportunity

The Facilities and Logistics Officer provides operational support in delivering core functions across facilities maintenance, logistics coordination, and asset management. The role ensures smooth day-to-day operations by managing facility requests, courier services, office supplies, and asset records, while also contributing to workplace health and safety and the upkeep of shared spaces.

About You

  • Required skills:
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Strong organisational and time management skills
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Independent thinker, able to multitask and stay focused.
    • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Experience
    • At least 2-3 years’ experience in a facilities, logistics, or administrative support role
    • Experience working with external services providers and vendors.
