Jordan Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Activity Overview

Based in Amman, Jordan, the Jordan Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Activity (“the Activity”) is designed to ensure USAID’s activities in Jordan achieve their intended results through monitoring and evaluation, strategic assessments, and USAID’s Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting approach (CLA). Dexis Consulting Group, as a major subcontractor to The Kaizen Company, works closely with Kaizen to help USAID/Jordan create a dynamic learning environment among development actors, focused on innovation, quality, and knowledge sharing. Through the Kaizen Accelerator, a rapid procurement mechanism, a cohort of Jordanian firms will work with the MELA team to successfully deliver activities while simultaneously strengthening their management and compliance systems. This approach will provide USAID with high-quality MEL services across its portfolio, build the capacity of local MEL institutions, and ensure programs meaningfully incorporate local participation. The MELA team will ensure program sustainability by building the technical and institutional capacity of one or more local firms that can manage the follow-on MEL Activity in the future.

Background and Objectives

The Activity is currently seeking a short-term technical assistance (STTA) Administrative Officer

This assignment is for approximately 35 days between about April and July 2022.

based in Amman, Jordan. The Administrative Officer is part of the operations team and will carry out duties to meet the objectives of the project and cover the maternity leave of the Administrative Officer. The STTA Administrative Officer will perform under the supervision of the Finance and Operations Manager.

Responsibilities and Tasks

· Leads the coordination of all local Activity recruitments for Dexis, including short-term and long-term positions. This includes initial screening of all applicants, interview coordination, review and preparation of vetting documentation, and onboarding.

· Corporate administration for Dexis, including preparation and reconciliation of payroll advance requests, administration of Dexis’s local bank account, serves as the main POC between the Activity and Dexis finance team.

· Assist with the coordination and support of the MEL conference (May 23-24, 2022), including communication with the venue, logistics, catering, and administrative tasks.

· Provide general office support as needed.

Qualifications

To be considered for this consultancy, the consultant shall have the following minimum qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience in human resources or office administrative role.

· Spoken and written fluency in Arabic and English.

· Jordanian citizen or Jordanian residency required

· Proficiency in Office 365 and Google Applications.

· Experience with QuickBooks and Excel.

· Previous experience with USAID preferred.

· Excellent organizational and record keeping skills.
