Job Description

Title: Advisor Sr., Health

Div/Dept: Programs and Partnerships

Location: Washington, DC

Reporting Relationship: Senior Director, Program Delivery Support

summary

ChildFund works to ensure that children grow up healthy, educated, skilled and safe. We tailor our interventions to meet children’s evolving needs as they develop from infancy through young adulthood. Our life stage approach guides our programs, ensuring that children realize a series of core outcomes in each chapter of childhood (ages 0-5, 6-14 and 15-24). A theory of change for each life stage identifies the conditions that will enable children to reach these outcomes.

The Senior Advisor position provides technical support and leadership to strengthen ChildFund International’s global health program portfolio, enhance program quality on behalf of children in development and emergency contexts and helps ChildFund achieve its core outcomes. This team member works collaboratively with divisional and global colleagues in line with ChildFund’s theories of change across our life stage approach to develop, implement, and evaluate intervention strategies. The Health Senior Advisor will also work closely with the Business Development team to expand and diversify resources for ChildFund health programs.

PROMOTE societies whose individuals and institutions participate in valuing, protecting and advancing the worth and rights of children.

ENRICH supporters’ lives through their support of our cause.

Today, worldwide, 570 million children live in extreme poverty.
