Job Description

Overview of the Role:

The Business Portal Manager will take lead responsibility for operationalising and managing Katalis’s business portal; encourage organisations to submit ideas; facilitate engagement with relevant Katalis staff and collaboratively develop and oversee marketing and outreach efforts to generate interest for idea submissions.

This is short-term consultancy basis with up to 84 days over 6-months.

About the Program:

The Governments of Indonesia and Australia have entered into the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA), creating a framework to unlock the vast potential of the bilateral economic relationship. To support this ambition, the IA-CEPA includes a new Economic Cooperation Program (ECP). The ECP’s goal is to maximise the benefits of IA-CEPA, support trade and investment, improve market access, and promote inclusive economic growth in Indonesia. The primary objective is to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of IA-CEPA to increase two-way trade and investment that is broad based and inclusive. Through a “Collaborative Hub”, the ECP will work with Australian and Indonesian partners, combining sound trade and development practice by supporting Indonesia to maximise the benefits of IA-CEPA, addressing regulatory challenges (through technical assistance), while resourcing innovative industry engagement in sectors of mutual interest, and by investing in standards, skills and private sector development in new areas.

About You:

You will be an experienced and proactive talent with the right combination of experience, skills and commitment to excellence. You will also have:

  • Tertiary level qualification in finance, business, development, communication or related area.
  • A collaborative approach, and ability to establish relationships with clients, program staff and sub- contractors (businesses, business associations, academic organisations and other relevant stakeholders).
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • An in-depth understanding of the Australian aid program, including key policies such as safeguards policies.
  • Experience working in Indonesia, including an understanding of the Indonesian operating context and local rules/regulations.
  • Financial management skills, including an ability to analyse and interpret financial information.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken), with competency in Indonesian.
