SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT
The Indonesia and ASEAN Field Support Services Project (FSSP) is a five-year project funded by GAC and managed by Cowater International. The FSSP provides administrative, financial, procurement, and logistical services to support the Government of Canada implement its international assistance program in Indonesia and the ASEAN region through the provision of technical specialists, such as gender equality, health, environment and
climate action, etc. and assist GAC in procuring and managing local development initiatives.
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
The LDI fund is a program designed to support small-scale, high-impact projects which align with Global Affairs Canada’s (GAC) evolving country program priorities. The program is directed at projects developed by local partners.
THEMATIC PRIORITIES
This year’s CfP will focus on the theme of “Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women and Girls”. All projects must demonstrate how they will contribute to improving the quality of life and the rights of women and girls in Indonesia and align with at least one of the following thematic priorities:
GENDER-BASED ANALYSIS
In 2017, Canada adopted its Feminist International Assistance Policy to advance gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls as the most effective way to reduce poverty and build a more inclusive, peaceful and prosperous world. In alignment with this policy, the LDI project application must include a gender-based analysis (GBA). The purpose of this change is to enhance the gender equality outcomes of the LDI program. Note that consultations can include, but are not limited to, speaking to women and girls from the local community, women and other individuals who work for civil society organizations that have worked in the local community and female and male decision and change makers who have knowledge of the local community.

This is a two-step Call for Proposals process:
Step 1: All applications should be sent to admin@fssproject.com including the following documents:
Step 2: Based on eligibility and assessment criteria for the Concept Notes, shortlisted applicants will be contacted to submit a full proposal. Non-shortlisted applicants will be informed.
Deadline for receiving applications (ie. Concept Note) is July 22, 2023 (4 weeks announcement). Incomplete and/or late applications will not be evaluated.
