Project Background:
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/Jordan Education and Youth (EDY) team has requested that the Middle East Education Research, Training, and Support (MEERS) activity support the development a new results framework (RF) in preparation for a new Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS). The CDCS, typically a five-year strategy, defines a Mission’s chosen approach in a country, articulates the self-reliance trajectory, and details expected results. The CDCS provides a roadmap for how USAID will design and implement projects and activities and is made available publicly on the Agency’s website. It is used to inform dialogue with Congress; engage host country partners and other stakeholders, including the private sector and civil society; and to serve as the basis for program implementation, monitoring, evaluating, and learning over the strategy period.

USAID/Jordan seeks SI’s support in preparing and planning for its revised CDCS. The specific objectives of this activity are to:
Position Description:
SI is seeking an individual to fulfill the role of CDCS Facilitator (“Facilitator”) on this activity. The Facilitator will be responsible for facilitating a one-week senior level discussion with the USAID Jordan Mission Education Team to develop a results framework in the education and youth sectors that will contribute to the Country Development Cooperation Strategy process and assist the government’s movement along the Journey to Self-Reliance. The Facilitator will ensure quality assurance and timeliness of all deliverables, including adherence to SI’s quality assurance standards. The expected start date will be in mid-May 2019 and this position is anticipated to require 25 days of LOE with about 6-8 days of field work in Jordan. This is a part-time position reporting to the U.S.-based SI Project Manager and working closely with the SI management team/headquarters (HQ), as well as other project team members with relevant expertise.
