Workforce Gender Equality Accelerated Program Change Management Coach SOW
Tetra Tech implements USAID’s Engendering Industries program that supports organizations in developing countries to increase economic opportunities for women and improve gender equality in the workplace. The program partners with 41 organizations in 27 countries to advance gender equality in male-dominated industries. Engendering Industries uses a unique approach and a range of programs and activities to increase gender equality, create leadership opportunities, and develop female talent at organizations around the world.
We are seeking an experienced Change Management Coach (CMC) to support the implementation of USAID’s Workforce Gender Equality Accelerated Program under the Workplace Advancement for Gender Equality (WAGE) contract. The CMC will play a critical role in coaching senior managers within male-dominated companies to implement gender equity interventions, using the Engendering Industries approach. This is an independent consulting engagement estimated to be about 200 days over the course of 12 months, with the potential for an extension depending on program needs. Finalization of the consultant agreement is subject to USAID approval. The preference is for consultants already based in Eastern Europe. Scope:
The CMC will support up to 10 organizations in their involvement in the Workforce Gender Equality Accelerated Program. This includes in-person support during course delivery over the course of one week in Budapest, Hungary in February 2022 and will be followed by bi-weekly virtual coaching for one year. Specifically, the CMC will:
· Support up to 10 organizations develop a strategic plan and key interventions to improve their understanding of gender equality and change management, and to support the implementation of gender equity interventions.
· Provide coaching to organizations through in-person coaching during the course and bi-weekly virtual coaching for approximately one year. Additional in person coaching including travel to the partner organizations may happen depending on program needs.
· Increase basic understanding of concepts related to gender equality and change management.
· Support in the development and implementation of strategic plans to create buy-in at the organization.
· Identify potential barriers for implementation and help the selected change agents to overcome obstacles in the implementation of “quick wins” and long-term strategic activities.
· Assist the organization partners in collecting and analyzing data to monitor and evaluate effectiveness of the interventions, as well as track outcomes and success.
· Prepare coaching plans, coaching call agendas, coaching logs, and other documentation associated with coaching assigned organizations.
· Provide input into required project reporting including quarterly and annual reports, organization case studies, events, and conferences etc.
· Attend team alignment meetings and meetings with program partners
Requirements:
· At least 10 years of direct experience working in the field of Gender or Diversity and Inclusion.
· At least 10 years of experience working in change management/organizational development and providing advice to senior managers and executives of private sector companies to improve practices and corporate culture change specific to gender equity.
· Minimum of a Master’s degree in human resources, gender studies, energy, or related field.
· Experience working in HR-related fields (e.g. recruitment, training and development, HR policies, change management for inclusive workplaces, corporate culture change, etc.)
· Experience working in the industry sector and/or other male dominated sectors preferred.
· Experience working in other country contexts, preferably with experience in Central, Eastern, or Southeastern Europe and low-income, developing countries.
· Experience working as a trainer or facilitator on Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is an asset.
· Experience working on similar USAID programs is strongly preferred.
· Fluency in English
· Superior interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to interact in a constructive, cooperative, and harmonious manner; performance orientation; ability to work effectively as a team player in a remote team; to establish positive relationships and gain the confidence of others
