About LifeNet International
LifeNet International (LN) is a nonprofit organization founded with the mission of improving healthcare services in underserved communities, primarily in sub-Saharan Africa. The organization focuses on strengthening the capacity of existing health facilities, such as clinics and hospitals, through a sustainable and scalable model. LifeNet’s model has been implemented in over 400 clinics and seven countries, including Burundi, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Malawi. By partnering with local health facilities, LifeNet has improved access to quality healthcare for millions of people. Their work has led to measurable improvements in patient outcomes, clinic performance, and staff capacity. Through LifeNet, health workers in hard to reach, last-mile health facilities in Africa are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to serve the poor, the sick, and the vulnerable in medically-sound ways.
Key Areas of Focus
1. Medical Training: LifeNet provides ongoing training for healthcare workers, focusing on clinical care, maternal and child health, and the management of diseases like malaria and HIV/AIDS. This ensures that medical staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver quality care.
2. Management Training: The organization supports healthcare facilities with training in operational and financial management. This helps facilities run more efficiently, ensuring they remain sustainable and capable of serving their communities.
3. Supply Chain Support: LifeNet helps improve access to essential medicines and medical supplies, ensuring that health facilities are adequately stocked to meet patient needs.
4. Maternal and Child Health: A significant part of LifeNet’s work focuses on reducing maternal and child mortality by improving the quality of prenatal, postnatal, and pediatric care.
5. Christian Mission: LifeNet integrates a faith-based approach into its work, partnering with Christian health facilities and incorporating spiritual care into its healthcare services.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to lead a fast-growing organization dedicated to improving healthcare access, training, and outcomes as it transforms the healthcare system and saves lives across sub-Saharan Africa. With 450 health clinics in seven countries and now serving over 8 million patients annually, LifeNet is seeking the leader who can help them become the largest, most effective healthcare system in Africa. The CEO will oversee all aspects of LifeNet’s growth and strategic execution while ensuring that the organization’s work aligns with its core Christian values and commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery.
Qualifications
• Mission-Driven Leader: Deep commitment to LifeNet’s mission and values, including a personal faith that aligns with the Christian principles upheld by LifeNet.
• Results Oriented: Focused on advancing the strategy and driving tangible, measurable outcomes.
• Global Experience: Experience working in international development and/or business, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa or similar resource-constrained environments, with an eye for identifying opportunities and catalyzing progress in underserved regions.
• Fundraising and Partnership Development: Proven experience in fundraising and securing significant commitments from diverse sources, including individual donors, foundations, and government agencies.
• Cultural Competency: Understanding of and sensitivity to the cultural, social, and economic contexts in which LifeNet operates, with the ability to work effectively across cultures.
• Adaptability and Resilience: Comfortable navigating complex, fast-paced environments, with the ability to overcome obstacles and adapt to changing circumstances.
