Chief of Party
Management &Training Corporation, an international development organization that specializes in workforce development, is seeking Chief of Party candidates for the anticipated USAID/Honduras Youth Employment for Migration Prevention Activity. This activity will increase access to employment opportunities for youth at risk of irregular migration by increasing their educational and income generating opportunities. The activity will work closely with public and private sector entities to invest in market driven technical/vocational training that will lead to youth employment and address barriers to youth returning to school or entering the workforce.
The Chief of Party will provide overall technical leadership of the activity and bear primary responsibility for overall management, project planning and implementation, and delivery of timely and high-quality expertise to USAID. They will serve as the primary point of contact to USAID and contribute to a successful, positive relationship with Mission representatives, Government of Honduras counterparts, the private sector, and other key stakeholders. The Chief of Party will be accountable for both the quality of the project, as well as for its effective financial and operational management. They will manage a team of technical staff, organizational partners, and short-term consultants.
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
● An advanced degree in education or a relevant field
● Minimum of 10 years of experience managing USAID or other donor-funded programs.
● Expertise in education/training, workforce, positive youth development, and/or private sector engagement.
● Strong communication ability and proven success building strong working relationship with senior-level stakeholders in the public and private sectors.
● Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse and multidisciplinary team.
● Experience leading similar projects in Central America preferred.
● Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish required.
