Responsibilities
Responsibility Area: Consortium Management
Under the direction of the Project Director:
- Identify and contact new and existing organizational partners to sustain and increase investment in the topic of birth equity and enroll clients into Global Communities HSE program.
- Convene diverse, multi-sector state, local, and community level partners, including HSE participants and other community members.
- Based on feedback from consortium members, advise and inform strategies for providing direct services to HSE participants.
- Develop cross-sector partnerships to ensure access for HSE participants to coordinated, comprehensive maternal, child, and family medical care; health and parenting education; and community-based resources that address social determinants of health within the project area.
- Participate in Communities of Practice with other HSE projects to develop and implement a strategic plan for the community that focuses on at least one social determinant of health.
- Facilitate the development performance measures corresponding to HSE strategic plan activities, in collaboration with Consortium members.
- Lead efforts to deliver at least ten Consortium activities each year, in collaboration with other project staff and partners. Ensure logistics and invitations are finalized within one month before they are set to occur.
Responsibility Area: Communication
- Draft communication tools including Partner Information Packet and referral agreements.
- Collaborate with Communications staff to ensure the development of engaging health education, media, and social media content.
- Attend community events such as health fairs and collaborative meetings, with a goal of increasing the visibility of Global Communities and enrolling clients in the HSE program.
Responsibility Area: Data Management
- Ensure proper documentation of activities, including measurable indicators of success and membership breakdown (type of partner organization, racial/ethnic identification, and number of active program participants)
- Organize and maintain a database of community partners, organizations, and workgroup members.
- Provide monthly summaries of activities to the Program Director
- Draft consortium, partnership, and outreach sections of monthly and semi-annual reports including the Performance and Progress Reports, with input and review from the Director.
- Administer an annual membership survey and analyze results.
Other:
- Assist with special projects including collecting data and reporting, proposal writing, and/or mentoring of other team members as assigned.
- Participate in agency, project, and partner activities and meetings.
- Perform all other duties as deemed necessary by the Program Director.
POSITION SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Must be available to work overtime during peak periods.
- Must be able to organize and attend regular in person events and trainings in San Bernadino County

Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a related discipline and a minimum of four years of related work experience or a minimum of six years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of and passion for systems change and collective impact.
- Skilled facilitator of groups and meetings
- Excellent listening and documentation skills
- Ability to set agendas, motivate stakeholders, and navigate conflicting viewpoints.
- Interest in women’s health, including prenatal and post-partum concerns; mental health, childbirth, infant development, and local community and social service resources.
- Socio-cultural experiences comparable to the populations served, along with knowledge and respect of the values and beliefs of Black women and communities.
- Fluent in English (read, write, speak) is required, second languages are a plus Specialized training in childbirth, doula, postpartum doula, or lactation education is a plus.
- Experience with virtual and in-person event planning, including meetings, training, and webinars.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to collect, analyze and manage data.
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to engage diverse stakeholders and develop compelling narrative and visual content.
- Proficiency in computers and use of MS Word and Excel required.
- A passion for the mission and values of Global Communities.
The salary for this role is between $52,896 - 60,000 depending on several factors including qualications, experience and equity.
