Our International Development Services (IDS) Unit delivers projects and programmes in over 40 countries, mainly in Africa and Asia. We work for a diverse range of clients including national governments, bilateral donor agencies (e.g. FCDO, NLAid, USAID, MCC), development banks (e.g. World Bank, Asian Development Bank), UN agencies (e.g. UNICEF) and others and works across education, health, water, infrastructure and trade, climate and environment and inclusive growth.
We are now seeking a Cost and Pricing Specialist to join our commercial team in the IDS Unit in the Arlington, VA office. The key focus of the commercial team is to embed consistent approaches for minimising the Unit’s exposure to financial, commercial, reputational, and operational risk whilst maximising scope, consistency, and effectiveness in winning and delivering profitable business.
Responsibilities will include the collection and analysis of financial data one existing contracts to determine unit costs, assisting with budget estimates, developing models based on value for money principles and preparing reports. Supporting the due diligence to ensure reasonable cost/price for procurement and assisting in developing pricing strategies and presenting budgets for various contracting mechanisms.
For this role you will need experience in business development, financial and budget management, or cost and pricing for a USG implementing organisation, demonstrable knowledge with USAID requirements and experience in overseeing and coordinating with international field offices.
