Lead onboarding and structuring of datasets into the Azure platform, centralizing data for enhanced decision-making and operational efficiency.
Establish and maintain two-way feedback loops with the EOF team to support ongoing dataset development and refinement.
Manage permissions and data systems to ensure secure and consistent access.
Utilise Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) to track onboarding workflows and document processes, minimising duplication and preserving institutional knowledge.
AI-Driven Data Analytics
Perform data cleaning and analysis using Python; support advanced analytics and machine learning model deployment within Azure and Databricks environments.
Help develop AI tools, including chatbots, to accelerate analysis of cost data and streamline programme design processes.
Generate projections on programme impact and returns on investment, leveraging EOF, UNICEF, and published datasets.
Provide actionable insights to inform decision-making and optimise resource allocation.
Visualizations
Develop and refine data visualizations and dashboards in collaboration with EOF and external partners to enhance data accessibility and public engagement.
Use Power BI to monitor platform utilisation and user activity.
Facilitate academic and external collaborations through management of a modelling and dataset request portal.

DUTY STATION
The majority of EOF’s team are London-based, and candidates may need to be available during a significant portion of UK working hours (to be determined on a case-by-case basis). Remote and hybrid working options will be considered. Please note that EOF cannot sponsor visas for candidates who do not already have the right to work in the UK.
To be considered for this internship, applicants must meet the following requirements.
Essential:
Enrolled in a degree programme in an undergraduate or graduate school, or a recent graduate (within the last 2 years).
Excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
At least 18 years old.
Fluency in English is required.
No immediate relatives (e.g., father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office; and have no other relatives in the line of authority that the intern will report to.
Desirable:
A degree in a relevant subject, such as data science, analytics, statistics, economics, applied mathematics, finance, or a related field, would be preferred.
Experience or an interest in international development, the global education sector, and international aid is desirable. Additional consideration will be given for any relevant experience.
Proven interest in data science through projects or working experience.
General information
We have a global mandate and a global team, with staff based across most continents. However, most of our team are London-based, and candidates may need to be available during a significant portion of UK working hours (to be determined on a case-by-case basis). A monthly stipend will be provided for the duration of the internship, which will be determined based on the location of the successful candidate according to current UNICEF rules and regulations.
The internship is expected to start in September or October 2025 and run for six months. Please note that candidates who cannot commit to a six-month internship, working full-time, cannot be considered for the internship.
