Job Description
Chemonics seeks a Data Visualization/ Information Designer at the manager-level, to work within the Global Health and Supply Chain (GHSC) Office. The manager will work with the Data Visualization Director and Communications Director to support data visualization/information needs in the Global Health and Supply Chain (GHSC) office. The manager leads the design and development of project, proposal, and corporate and infographics, charts, maps, and other visual content needed to convey the meaning and messages behind various project data sources for reports, presentations, dashboards, and other communications needs. Responsibilities include:

Analyze and format data to tell a specific story through data visualization and infographics

Solve internal and external data visualization and communications challenges in a variety of formats including infographics, charts, diagrams, and maps

Participate in project meetings and discussions relating to appropriate data visualization/information needs to meet project requirements

Work with the communications team within the GHSC Office to ensure consistency with the overall contractual branding requirements, including Chemonics branding when required, to serve GHSC Office communications goals

Work with the GHSC-PSM Knowledge Management and Communications team to support the project website, electronic and print data visualizations, and other project audience needs

Perform duties consistent with full understanding of Chemonics’ and contractual requirements, policies, procedures, tools, quality standards, and broader internal and external client strategic goals

Coordinate production of printed materials and purchase of other data visualization/information-related materials with outside printers and vendors as required by project needs

Research and recommend hardware and software to improve core data visualization deliverables and expand services
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree required
-
3 years of professional design experience working in the field of data visualization/information design

Advanced knowledge of data visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI
-
Advanced knowledge of and experience using Adobe Cloud software
-
Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel

HTML 5, CSS 3, and Javascript knowledge is a plus

Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize, solve problems creatively, and work under tight deadlines

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Excellent written and oral communications skills

Experience overseeing four-color printing through delivery

Demonstrated knowledge of PC and Mac hardware/software programs

Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity

A strong electronic portfolio with a variety of samples

Fluency in foreign language preferred
