Design Engineer (f/m) Wastewater Treatment Plant

Job Description

For an on-going tender, GITEC-IGIP is looking for an experienced Design Engineer (f/m) with specialisation in Wastewater Treatment Plants and regional experience in Middle East.

BASIC PARAMETERS

• COUNTRY / CITY: Turkey / Giresun
• PROJECT START: Planned for May 2019
• DURATION: At least 230 project working days over the project period of 55 months
• DEADLINE: Latest by 31 December 2018 / until filled

The project, funded by EU, aims for accelerating Turkey’s accession to EU by enabling Turkey to achieve a high level of environmental protection and compliance with the EU wastewater sector directives.

Further details of the project will be shared with qualified experts for this position.

• Responsible for
  • Design review
  • Successful operation of the wastewater treatment plant

• University degree (either BSc. / MSc. / PhD) in environmental, sanitary or chemical engineering

• Minimum of 10 years’ professional working experience in water / wastewater sector
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in process design and calculations of wastewater treatment plants
• Minimum 1 year of experience in design / operation / construction of sludge treatment units, experience in sludge digesters will be an asset
• Operational experience of wastewater treatment plants will be an asset
• Experience in kinetic modelling of treatment plants will be an asset
• Business fluent in English both in writing and speaking
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications

The project is scheduled to start by May 2019 and will run for 55 months.

The duration of your assignment in this role is set for 230 days over the project period; the exact assignment times are subject to project needs.
