Here’s where you come in:

As the Director of Programs, you will provide strategic and field operations leadership for World Vision’s sustained humanitarian and recovery response in Jordan, Syria, and Türkiye. Key areas of focus include program implementation and impact, technical quality, donor liaison, representation, partner liaison and localization and staff capacity building. You will ensure strong strategic links, integration, and coordination between grant acquisition and management, program quality, field operations, and organisational objectives to achieve impact on child well-being. You will also ensure that the World Vision Syria Response is accountable to all partners and that all work is of the highest standard, cost-effective, and adheres to the standards and policies of World Vision International and its donors.

Requirements include:

  • Masters’ degree or equivalent in international relations, international development, or any other related discipline.
  • 10+ years of proven experience with International NGOs in emergency relief and development programming, especially in fragile contexts.
  • Extensive experience in programme management and implementation of multi-sectoral emergency and development projects.
  • Proven track record of growing and managing multi-million dollar budgets.
  • Fluency in written and spoken the English language is required.
  • 30% travel required locally and internationally.
