Egis International is looking for a Team Leader/Transport Key Expert – TA to connectivity in the Western Balkans

Job Description

Project: Technical assistance to connectivity in the Western Balkans. The overall objective is to contribute to the development of a regional energy market and the extension of the electricity and gas networks as well as of the TEN-T Core Network in the Western Balkans region, thus improving connectivity between the Western Balkans and between them and the EU.

The Team Leader/Transport Key Expert will be the main contact for the project team with the Contracting Authority and the partner countries. He or she should have:

• academic background in engineering, specialised in infrastructure development
• degree in management will be regarded as advantageous

General professional experience

• minimum 15 years of general working experience
• minimum 5 years of managerial experience as team leader, in particular in coordinating multi-disciplinary and/or multicultural teams of senior professionals, ideally with international organisations

Specific professional experience

• minimum 10 years of experience with the preparation of infrastructure projects (including activities such as pre-feasibility or feasibility studies, preliminary or detailed design, environmental impact assessment, cost benefit analysis, tender dossiers, etc.) in the transport sector (in particular roads and railways)
• experience in working on technical standards and accompanying reform measures in the transport sector is highly desirable (see requirement in the box below)
• additional experience with the preparation of infrastructure projects (including activities such as pre-feasibility or feasibility studies, preliminary or detailed design, environmental impact assessment, cost benefit analysis, tender dossiers, etc.) in the energy sector will be regarded as advantageous
• minimum 5 years of proven experience in working with national administrations of Transition Economies
• management experience in working in one or more of the partner countries will be regarded as advantageous
• familiarity with the EC procedures/requirements and proven successful projects experience with the EC
• proven experience in working with one or more International Financial Institutions (EIB, EBRD, KfW, World Bank) on similar assignments, is highly desirable

• Total duration of the projects: Long Term (4 years).
