Job Description
With the aim of strengthening the electrical safety of the buildings of humanitarian organizations in the Central African Republic, the electrical rehabilitation officer will intervene within the partner organizations (5), on their buildings (housing, offices, storage site)
The Electrical Rehabilitation Officer will be in charge of the diagnosis of the pre-identified installations, the definition of a work plan for each organization, the supervision of the works and finally the sensitization of the logistics teams to the proper use of electrical installations as well as basic maintenance of the electrical system.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Mission 1: Diagnosis of partner installations
- Ensure the correct sizing of energy sources at partners
- Ensure that the electrical installations comply with the ACF Energy standard, are not dangerous for people and equipment
- Detect problems with existing electrical installations
Mission 2: Definition of the work plan and supervision of the works
- Establish a prioritization of the work to be carried out according to a risk analysis in accordance with the recommended ACF standards,
- Develop a work plan based on priorities
- Produce a detailed list of equipment needed to be purchased, taking into account environmental standards (LEDs, back up batteries, etc.) and international manufacturing standards
- Supervision of the upgrading of facilities and all work defined with partners
- Support the logistics teams in purchasing for the question of choice of supplier and materials.
- Support the selection of competent local resources and size the teams needed for the planned rehabilitations
Mission 3: Awareness of the logistics team
- Training of logistics teams in the proper use of electrical equipment and basic maintenance and awareness of electrical risks
- Produce an end-of-mission report for each user partner including in particular the electrical circuit diagram produced and recommendations on the medium-term management of these rehabilitated installations.
YOUR PROFILE
Specific skills and experience :
- Diploma in the electrical field (or solid experience > 3 years in LV electrical compliance)
- LV electrical study and sizing (power balance, sizing of energy sources, power cables, electrical panel protections
- Desired knowledge of electromechanics (generator)
- Desired knowledge of solar system / back up batteries
- Desired knowledge of CAD (single-line electrical diagram )
- Recognized experience in a similar position or in a humanitarian context
- Implementation and management of preventive maintenance of electrical equipment
- Management, coordination and planning of electrical rehabilitation projects
- Experience in site management and team management
- Ability to communicate and share knowledge

- Good organizational skills
- Excellent level of French required
