Job Description
The Evaluation and Organizational Learning (EOL) practice at KonTerra is focused on the delivery of high-quality, independent evaluation services for UN agencies, ICRC, INGOs and donors. Evaluation Management is a core function within EOL. Reporting to the Director of Evaluation & Organizational Learning, the Evaluation Manager plays a critical role in the lifecycle of an evaluation process as the primary point of contact for clients as well as internal teams.
This is a remote role that will perform these and other essential duties as required:
What You’ll Do
- Manage evaluations from inception to timely delivery, ensuring that they unfold as anticipated in the TOR and Inception report.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, defining evaluation expectations, clarifying roles, and setting boundaries.
- Coordinate activities with and between administration, quality assurance, finance, editing, formatting, security, and others to anticipate and implement corrective measures, when necessary, in close communication with stakeholders.
- Provide tailored support to team leaders, taking into consideration their specific requirements and approach to the work.
- Support documentation management: set up libraries, follow up with clients on data gaps, etc.
- Organize and facilitate various evaluation meeting types including kick-offs, teams, and debriefings.
The Skills and Experience You’ll Need
- Demonstrated experience in project and/or evaluation management in humanitarian and development settings
- Experience working with UN agencies, ICRC, INGOs and/or humanitarian/development donors
- Proficiency in assessing evaluation methodologies to produce tailored, operational evaluation plans
- Demonstrated experience managing teams of senior experts
- Strong client relations and conflict resolution experience in multicultural environments
- Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail while working under rigorous deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
