Job Description

As part of a global consulting organisation, our ID PI (International Development Physical Infrastructure) team delivers a range of services in the design and delivery of infrastructure solutions to developing countries. We foster collaborative relationships with our clients and partners to deliver sustainable and robust infrastructure that supports the growth and development of the national economies and communities in which we work across Asia and the Pacific regions.

Due to significant expansion and growth, we are currently seeking expressions of interest from highly motivated and skilled persons to join our enthusiastic and dynamic team in both fixed term and full time roles. If you are looking to develop your career within this exciting space, then our ID PI team may be of interest to you.

We are looking for people from a range of backgrounds, including international development, design, engineering (all disciplines), project/construction management, environment & safeguards and communications & stakeholder management. Demonstrated experience on infrastructure projects such as transport, water and communications is a requirement and knowledge of international development environments is preferred.

About you
Your experience may include having worked on ADB, WB, DFAT and/or DFID funded programs in the Asia Pacific region. Our forecasted pipeline requires that you have experience in delivering complex infrastructure projects in remote locations as part of a diverse and international team. Your commitment to safety, the environment and team building is key to our values at Cardno.

Your experience should also include:

  • Prior experience in delivering infrastructure design, technical outputs and construction related activities in the international development sector
  • Demonstrated knowledge of drawing packages, specifications and construction contracts
  • Experience in preparing and implementing project management, quality and risk plans
  • A track record of managing resources and coordinating the activities of the team members with respect to the project administration and technical requirements
  • Dedication and adherence to the highest levels of safety and environmental good practice
  • Ability to manage deliverables to financial forecasts and budgets
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant tertiary or equivalent qualifications (e.g. Bachelor of Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management)
