Help shape the next phase of Pacific infrastructure

Abt is inviting expressions of interest from infrastructure specialists who can support both our programmatic infrastructure work in PNG and Fiji and emerging opportunities that will define the region’s future investment priorities.

Assignments may be short or long term, technical or strategic and based in Australia or the region.

We are looking for people who bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction, planning, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in providing strategic and technical advice on complex infrastructure initiatives (preferably DFAT funded) in challenging contexts in PNG and across the Pacific.
  • Experience working with governments, donors, and communities to translate infrastructure into
    lasting development outcomes.
  • Practical experience embedding resilience, safeguards, and inclusion into infrastructure
    delivery.
  • The ability to mentor and share expertise, building capability across teams.

We are particularly interested in specialists who can combine delivery expertise with the strategic insight to shape how future infrastructure initiatives are designed, prioritised, and implemented.
