Job Description

Program Background

Initiated in July 2024, Climate Resilient Communities (CRC) aims to ensure people in the Indo-Pacific are more resilient to climate change and disasters.

Led by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), CRC supports implementation of Australia’s climate change commitments and International Development Policy, in line with partner government priorities. CRC incentivises funding towards inclusive climate and disaster resilience programming, with a focus on the water, food, and energy sectors. It does this by increasing climate investments, driving climate integration, and better addressing climate and disaster risk across Australia’s development portfolio.

DT Global has been engaged by DFAT to support implementation of CRC.

The Role
CRC is recruiting climate finance consultants to join its Panel. Panel members provide high quality finance expertise to DFAT on climate program activities and plans at the regional or country level, with DFAT staff, partner governments and CRC implementing partners.

As part of a wider technical assistance mandate, CRC seeks to support mobilising additional climate finance for the Indo-Pacific, encouraging funding from a range of sources. Innovative financing mechanisms are being explored to help mobilise additional finance and make links with other elements of Australia’s development program.

A range of opportunities arise for consultants on the Panel. Consultants from the region with experience working in Indo-Pacific, with all levels of experience are encouraged to apply, including early career.
