Job Description

Description The Freight Quotation & Invoice Specialist is expected to provide accurate and timely freight estimates and quotations to the Procurement and Supply Chain Services teams within 8 hours of receiving the request and ideally in the first hour. The Specialist will be required to track all shipment related costs, from quotation stage through to final delivery and update such costs for reconciliation at invoice approval and settlement stage.

Key focus of this function is to track all freight cost savings resulting from PFSCM’s intervention or decision making in order to we meet our goals in regard to savings per every such freight invoice.

The Freight Quotation & Invoice Specialist is a member of the Freight Services team within the Global Supply Chain Unit and works very closely with other departments particularly procurement and supply chain services and finance. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create freight estimates and quotations based on existing 3PL rate cards as directed by the Freight Analyst.
  • Ensure “market entry price” (MEP) and contracted price are documented for each shipment.
  • Maintain a log to track freight expenditures against freight quotations and ensure any cost increases get a full and acceptable justification.
  • Monitor trends and recommend appropriate interventions or improvements to your supervisor and ensure that all shipments are delivered within budget.
  • Monitor payments to 3PLs, coordinating with internal teams and providing optimal support across PFSCM Units to resolve all freight-related payment issues, while ensuring compliance to organizational requirements.
  • Produce a daily, weekly, and monthly log of all quotations created and update costs incurred until 3PL is paid and PFSCM invoices the client.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain operations, freight, accounting, data management or related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a commercial organization at a national or international level.
  • Previous experience working with data and analytics preferred.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills with strong sense of customer service. English fluency required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work in a team with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills; solution oriented with a high sense of quality, attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Advanced ability to work comfortably with Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be eligible to work in the Netherlands.

Salary commensurate with experience.
