Job Description

The Global Compliance Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that PATH adheres to all relevant laws, regulations and ethical standards across its global operations. Reporting to the Director of Awards, Risk and Compliance, this position is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing compliance programs and initiatives to safeguard the organization’s reputation and uphold its commitment to ethical and best practices.

Responsibilities:

PATH’s Insurance Program (corporate, clinical and defense base act insurance):

· Manage PATH’s insurance program by acting as the main point of contact for PATH’s insurance brokers, including selection and contracting. This will include answering questions from staff on various insurance topics as well as processing Certificate of Insurance requests

· Coordinate annual insurance renewals, including with brokers and internal teams providing renewal data as well as the review of insurance language for awards and contracts with brokers and point attorneys

· Provide input on organizational insurance budget, forecasting and cost charge-out to programs

· Coordinate quarterly reporting to broker and internal Finance team and Salesforce insurance reporting process

· Partner with brokers to answer questions regarding insurance coverage, requests for additional coverage, submitting claims, and requesting COIs

· Coordinate any claims with the brokers

Compliance Strategy and Planning:

· Develop and execute a comprehensive global compliance strategy in alignment with PATH’s organizational strategy

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of compliance into key business processes and decision-making

· Monitor for emerging global compliance trends, laws and regulations relevant to PATH

· In tandem with the Global Risk Manager, chair the Governance, Risk and Compliance Council for PATH

Training and Awareness:

· Plan and conduct compliance training and awareness programs for PATH staff

· Forster a culture of compliance and integrity throughout the organization, taking into account the global nature of the staff and cultures

· Collaborate with regional and country teams to ensure awareness and consistency in compliance practices across PATH

Monitoring and Reporting:

· Establish a system for ongoing monitoring and reporting of compliance activities

· Prepare and present compliance reports to PATH leadership as requested

· Coordinate with the Global Risk and Compliance team to ensure any compliance concerns are appropriately reported

Required Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, law or a related field plus a minimum of 7 years of experience in compliance and/or risk management, preferably in the nonprofit sector

· Must have experience managing either corporate insurance, clinical research/human subjects research insurance, or Defense Base Act (DBA) insurance

· Experience with USAID’s Defense Base Act (DBA) Insurance highly desirable

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook

· Excellent time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced setting

· Experience handling tasks with accuracy and professionalism

· Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and work both independently and as part of a team

· Must have legal authorization to work in the United States

We offer our employees a competitive salary and generous benefits. For candidates based in the U.S., the annual salary range for this position is $96,000 - $120,000. The final salary is based on a variety of objective factors.
