Purpose of the position
The Growth Operations Manager is responsible to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) and the two Sales Directors for operating all of the processes that facilitate the growth of BroadReach, for providing accurate and timely information to facilitate good business decision making and to help bind the two sales channels into a coherent whole. The role will have a matrixed (dotted line) relationship to the Vice President of Global Business Management. The employee will interact directly with all of the growth team, members of each business unit, finance, HR, marketing, and legal teams. The employee will have strong organisational, analytical and business skills, a successful track record in business or sales operations management and experience of developing structured processes and pipeline management.
Key Accountabilities
Growth Operations Manager role will:
- Work closely with the Chief Growth Officer and the Sales Directors to provide visibility on achieving BroadReach’s growth targets
- Organise and maintain a reporting and reviewing framework, regular and ad-hoc in-depth reports to enable understand of the pipeline position, forecast and key variable; organize and facilitate reviews using that data, chase missing, incomplete or inaccurate data and provide input to the key decision making processes and meetings within the company.
- Facilitate regular pipeline review meetings
- Provide support directly to the CGO to enable them to be fully effective;
- Conduct or coordinate the conduct of desk research and opportunity capture management
- Support proposal development as needed
- Provide input and information to the other growth support staff and work collaboratively and closely with the operations staff within the other functions across business units and group shared services
- Act as the focal point for operating, maintaining and improving the growth processes, templates & tools
- Liaise with HR to enable hiring of the right staff required to expand the growth team; including drafting role specifications, CV screening and first round interviews
- Programme management of growth initiatives and the growth component of wider company initiatives
Qualifications
Essential qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Fluency in English
Desirable Qualifications
- Master’s or post-graduate business, IT-related or Public Health degree
- Proficiency in at least one other language is a plus
- Familiarity with data management, analytical and reporting engines
- Project management or development management skills or qualification
Experience & Skills
- 10 years experience in operations roles, including at least 5 in growth or sales operations
- Experience of public sector and international proposals and tendering
- Substantial analysis, data and process management skills, design and implementation of reporting and pipeline management tools and processes
- Familiarity with CRM systems, MS Office (including automation, PowerBI or other analytical tools)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in remote teams; outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully manage a variety of relationships in a multicultural environment
- Flexible work attitude: the ability to work in a team environment and independently, and to meet unexpected demands, prioritize, and multitask
- Ability to travel internationally as needed for team development and training (up to 5% of time)
- Excellent customer focus, strong attention to detail, and ability to operate in a dynamic sales organization
- Substantial experience and a successful track record managing teams in dispersed international environments with minimal supervision
