The Opportunity
As the Health Systems Strengthening – TB Financing Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support in implementing project activities related to Health Systems strengthening (HSS) and TB systems reforms, revision/development of HSS, TB financing and HR strategies, developing technical documents, and supporting HSS and TB financing program activities. You will report to the Deputy Chief of Party for the TB Free Uzbekistan project.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide technical, organizational, and coordination support to the TBFU technical team on the development, adaptation, and revisions of health system strengthening, including TB financing and HR strategies.
- Support the TBFU technical team in high-level policy dialogue with government stakeholders (MoH, SHIF) and partners related to TB system strengthening including TB financing and reforms.
- Support the planning, development, and implementation of TB financing activities including: support of staffing, budgeting, contracting, reporting requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of models, indicators, presentations, manuscripts, reports, and briefs for internal and/or client or government use.
- Support the development, delivery, and monitoring of training sessions on TB financing for facility managers and accountants
- Support project efforts to increase private sector engagement in TB.
What We Value
- Master’s degree in public health, health management, governance, finance, or related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in health financing, health systems strengthening, health policy, data collection, and cost accounting.
- Experience with projects in the areas of tuberculosis, health systems strengthening, and health financing.
- Demonstrated knowledge and background related to strategies in Uzbekistan focused on tuberculosis, health systems strengthening, and health financing.
- Familiarity with the principles of budget formation and financial reporting of health care facilities is preferred.
- Experience with designing and working with various databases.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to keep to a timeline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in Uzbek, proficient in English and Russian.
